When Holiday Retirement chose Winter Park, Florida for the company’s new home, CEO Lilly Donohue knew it was nearly the farthest possible location within the contiguous U.S. from the company’s previous headquarters location in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Only a small percentage of corporate employees made the move east, she says, but bringing in new, Orlando-based talent with roots in hospitality was part of a much larger strategic plan to further evolve the 47-year-old company.

Xerox Creates 500 Jobs in Orlando

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announced the grand opening of the new SunPass Centralized Customer Service Center operated by Xerox at Ocoee's West Oaks Mall. Xerox, the largest provider of transportation technology services in the world, including parking, tolling, mass transit and photo enforcement services, will create 500 new jobs in three years in the region.

Asurion Opens Orlando Office Creating 600 New Jobs

Asurion, the connected life services company, announced the grand opening of a new Orlando-based center, which will be the first facility for the company in the area. Asurion plans to build a dynamic team in Orlando, hiring 600 employees over the next three years, including customer support technicians, operations, support and HR roles. Asurion’s 50,000-square-foot building is located at 4000 Millenia Boulevard. The company is making a $15 million capital investment in the region.

Florida Blue Triples its Workforce with Addition of 280 New Jobs

Florida Blue, the state's largest health insurer, will add 280 new jobs, in addition to its existing 140 positions, as part of a major expansion of its Central Florida operations. The company made the announcement at its new, 30,000-square-foot office in Seminole County's Lake Mary.
