Emmy-Nominated Productions Created in Orlando

Two recent film projects shot in Orlando could earn Emmy Awards. The visual effects in “The Man in the High Castle” and the national “Love Has No Labels” public service announcement (PSA) received nominations from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. These Emmy-nominated productions put an emphasis on Orlando’s technical resources for film and digital media productions as well as highlight its inclusive culture.

Nebbia Technology Expands and Opens New Orlando Office

Topps Digital to Open Office in Orlando and Create 16 New Jobs

Topps Digital, a mobile game app division of the classic sports company Topps, is establishing an office in Orlando and will create 16 new jobs. The project will also have a $145,000 capital investment in the local community.

Governor Rick Scott said, “I am excited to announce that Topps Digital has chosen Florida as the best location to expand their business. New technology companies like Topps Digital are creating many opportunities for our families to succeed, and that is why we will continue to focus on diversifying and growing our economy. New Mid Florida Tech Center Will Prepare Students for Tech Careers

Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) celebrated the opening of their latest Tech Center, “Launch Site”, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Mid Florida Tech campus. The new tech center will expand from the existing animation, programming and digital media programs at the OCPS Orlando Campus to focus on simulation providing both visual and programming learning tracks.
