The Orlando Economic Partnership welcomed more than 600 guests at the 2017 James B. Greene Award Dinner on April 13, 2017. Orlando Economic Partnership President and CEO Tim Giuliani kicked off the program by welcoming community, civic and business leaders to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Then, Partnership co-chairs Robert Utsey and Sean DeMartino introduced the ceremony’s honorees, William T. Dymond, Jr. and Steve Hogan.

“Both Bill and Steve have made outstanding contributions to Orlando by working diligently to build our community, improve our quality of life and advance economic development,” said Robert Utsey. “We are pleased to recognize these leaders with the highest honors we can give.” 

William T. Dymond, Jr., CEO and President of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. was given the prestigious James B. Greene Award recognizing his work towards improving the economic prosperity of the region. Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan accepted the Chairman’s Award for his long-term contributions to economic development in Central Florida.  

“Bill and Steve aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle complex issues, and I applaud their leadership, grit and heart,” said Sean DeMartino. “These are two brilliant men who have redefined the role of what business leaders can accomplish when they dedicate their time, energy and talent to making a difference in their community.”

Other highlights from the event included a video that focused on the Partnership’s economic development projects and wins in the last year as well as a variety of community milestones achieved.
