Orlando region continues to gain national rankings

Downtown Orlando_Lake EolaOrlando ranked in the top 20 ‘America’s Next Boom Towns’ for cities with the best chance to prosper in the coming decade according to NewGeography.com. The list was composed of the 53 largest metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) in the U.S. with eight metrics indicative of past, present and future vitality.

This newest accolade comes on the heels of several others for the region. In 2015, Orlando was named a ‘Best Performing City’ by the Milken Institute which measured job growth, wage and salary growth and the size and concentration of the high-tech industry; Forbes ranked Orlando as #4 ‘Best City for Future Job Growth’ and fDi Magazine named Orlando a top 10 ‘American City of the Future’ for the third year in a row.

Orlando is on the rise – both literally and figuratively. From international companies and corporate headquarters to homegrown innovators and high tech research facilities, the Orlando region spans a dynamic economic spectrum that is continuing to expand.
