Nebbia_robbon_cutting.jpgNebbia Technology, a software company specializing in Azure-based solutions and DevOps best practices, is opening a new office in downtown Orlando. Expanding from a local co-working space, the company will open its own office, creating seven new, high-wage jobs.

With a focus on Microsoft technologies, Nebbia Technology provides consulting, mentoring, guidance and tool training to companies. The software company uses a cloud-first focus and a specialization in Azure-based solutions to develop software for clients.

“Nebbia Technology’s new office will allow us to provide our team with the space and resources needed to deliver DevOps and custom software solutions to our clients,” said Esteban Garcia, Chief Technologist. “We are excited about the growth that we’ve experienced in the two years since the company started and this move represents our commitment to building on the success that our team has achieved. We look forward to our continued contribution to downtown Orlando’s thriving tech community.”

Nebbia Technology grew from a local startup, located in Canvs at the Downtown Exchange building, before expanding its operations. Canvs, a nonprofit co-working space for technology startups, provides basic working space needs, along with connecting members to industry leaders and mentors. The facility hosts monthly programs and events with a wide range of subjects.

"Nebbia Technology's growth is yet another example that our tech community is thriving,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “We're developing an innovation ecosystem where people can take a business concept from idea to reality and then succeed and grow."

Canvs is one example of the many tools and resources available to technology startups in Orlando. Accelerator programs, like Starter Studio, assist in the development of a start-up idea into an applicable product or service. Special funding, like the FireSpring Fund, can provide seed funding for startups. Professional organizations, like the Orlando Tech Association, advocate for the technology community and propel growth for startups by hosting meetups and networking events.

“Nebbia's success is representative of the region's support of small tech business - they grew out of Canvs and have been leaders of grassroots groups in the community and now are fast becoming an important influencer in their space,” said Orlando Tech Association President Carlos Carbonell.

“Our region’s strong workforce, expanding high-tech assets and innovation-driven economy will serve Nebbia well,” said Holly Wiedman, executive vice president of the Orlando EDC. “Their success also proves we have an effective network of partners working together to see a startup through its initial ideas phase through to a mature company well-positioned for growth.”
