IMG_2930.jpgThe Orlando EDC was once again on the road for a business development mission in April, this time targeting Chicago, Ill. The team, led by Bill Dymond, co-chair of the EDC Business Development Committee and president and CEO of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, consisted of Duke Energy Director Marc Hoenstine, Enterprise Florida Director Joel Gunter and EDC Vice President Casey Barnes.

During the two-day visit, the EDC team met with 10 companies who benefited from business briefings on the UCF Downtown Campus in partnership with Valencia College, the International Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing and Research (ICAMR), the significant investments in infrastructure underway in the Orlando region and Orlando’s growing reputation as a magnet for millennials entering the workforce. Over the last five years, the Orlando region has grown by over 62,000 millennials, almost double the number of Chicago’s millennial growth over the same period of time.
